Media Center Expectations
Academics
Students will come to the Library Media Center with an academic purpose in mind.
Students may access the Library Media Center to check books in or out.
Students may access the Library Media Center to complete class assignments and projects or study for a specific class.
Students may access the Library Media Center to access Database Resources via the computer.
Students may access the Library Media Center to read.
Responsibility
Students will use the Library Media Center to complete academic tasks in a responsible manner.
Students will come to the Library Media Center at appropriate times.
The Library Media Center is open to students from 8:35 A.M to 8:55 A.M. for academic purposes.
Students may access the Media Center during the school day with their class.
Students may access the Library Media Center with a pass from their teacher to complete a specific academic task.
Students may access the Library Media Center after school with prior approval from the Library Media Specialist.
Students will clean up after themselves while in the Library Media Center.
Students will pick up and throw away trash before leaving the Library Media Center.
Students will push in chairs before leaving their work space.
Self Control
Students will show respect to Staff, other students, and themselves while in the Library Media Center.
Students will show respect of fellow students and Staff.
Students will keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
Students will speak in a respectful manner while in the Library Media Center.
Students will use appropriate language while in the Library Media Center.
Students will speak in a softer voice in order to maintain a positive working environment.
Students will maintain a safe environment while in the Library Media Center.
Students will walk, not run or horseplay, while in the Library Media Center.
