Literacy Week at KMS

January 22nd to January 26th, 2018

Literacy Week

Events:
Monday -

Poetry Pop: Teachers start each of their class periods with a short read-aloud poem.

Teachers decorate their door with their favorite Young Adult novel.

Tuesday -

Reading Can Knock Your Socks Off: Students and Teachers wear their brightest and craziest socks.

Wednesday -

Hats Off to a Good Book: Teachers and Students may wear a school appropriate hat.

Thursday -

D.E.A.R: Students in their ELA and Research classes have a chance to Drop Everything and Read.

Friday -

Share a Story - teachers take 5 minutes to conduct a "book talk" at the start of each class to share about their favorite book from middle school.​

All Week -

During Intervention Time students will have the chance to watch movie trailers for different Young Adult novels.
