Principal’s Message

KMS Parents and Families,

Welcome to Quarter 2 at Kissimmee Middle School! As we move from October through January, our Jaguars will continue building on their success, strengthening their academic skills, and working toward their individual goals. During this quarter, students will participate in their first round of quarterly assessments, which will help us identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth. We will use these results to provide targeted interventions and remediation, ensuring students receive the additional support they need to stay on track and continue making academic progress. Our goal is to help every student grow, build confidence, and achieve success in the classroom.

Quarter 2 will also be filled with exciting opportunities to celebrate our students, honor our community, and strengthen the connections that make KMS such a special place! We look forward to our Veterans Day Celebration, the annual Turkey Trot, and the Jaguar Tree tradition, along with our exciting Holidays Around the World Celebration. Our Jaguars will also have opportunities to demonstrate their teamwork, dedication, and school spirit through our Cross Country and Volleyball programs. These activities and events allow our students to build relationships, develop new skills, and create lasting memories beyond the classroom.

As we approach the holiday season and prepare for the second half of the school year, we encourage our students to stay focused, demonstrate responsibility, and continue putting forth their best effort each day. We appreciate the ongoing partnership of our families and the dedication of our staff in helping every Jaguar reach their full potential.

¡Bienvenidos al segundo trimestre en Kissimmee Middle School! De octubre a enero, nuestros Jaguars continuarán desarrollando sus éxitos, fortaleciendo sus habilidades académicas y trabajando para alcanzar sus metas individuales. Durante este trimestre, los estudiantes participarán en su primera ronda de evaluaciones trimestrales, las cuales nos ayudarán a identificar sus fortalezas y las áreas en las que pueden mejorar. Utilizaremos estos resultados para ofrecer intervenciones específicas y actividades de refuerzo académico, asegurándonos de que los estudiantes reciban el apoyo adicional que necesitan para mantenerse al día y continuar progresando académicamente. Nuestra meta es ayudar a cada estudiante a crecer, desarrollar confianza en sí mismo y alcanzar el éxito en el salón de clases.

¡El segundo trimestre también estará lleno de emocionantes oportunidades para celebrar a nuestros estudiantes, honrar a nuestra comunidad y fortalecer los lazos que hacen de KMS un lugar tan especial! Esperamos con entusiasmo nuestra celebración del Día de los Veteranos, nuestra carrera anual Turkey Trot, la tradición del Árbol Jaguar y nuestra emocionante Celebración de las Festividades Alrededor del Mundo (Holidays Around the World Celebration). Nuestros Jaguars también tendrán la oportunidad de demostrar su trabajo en equipo, dedicación y orgullo escolar a través de nuestros programas de campo traviesa (Cross Country) y voleibol. Estas actividades y eventos permiten a nuestros estudiantes fortalecer sus relaciones, desarrollar nuevas habilidades y crear recuerdos inolvidables fuera del salón de clases.

A medida que nos acercamos a la temporada festiva y nos preparamos para la segunda mitad del año escolar, animamos a nuestros estudiantes a mantenerse enfocados, demostrar responsabilidad y continuar dando lo mejor de sí mismos cada día. Agradecemos la colaboración constante de nuestras familias y la dedicación de nuestro personal para ayudar a cada Jaguar a alcanzar su máximo potencial.
