Design changes to our School District’s major medical Health Insurance Plan:
- Includes an increase to the Board Contribution for a total of $9,030 per employee;
- Continues to provide employees with health insurance coverage options, including a no-cost option for the individual employee;
- Implements innovations and enhancements to provide cost-savings and new choices for employees and their families; and
- Ensures the district’s Health Benefits Trust Fund remains fiscally solvent to serve employees during uncertain economic times.
Continued commitment to the School District’s Centers for Employee Health; and
Memoranda of Understanding and contract language upon which both parties have reached tentative agreement.
“Over the last three years, the Osceola County School Board has prioritized a total of 12% compensation increases for teachers and staff,” said Osceola School District Superintendent Dr. Mark Shanoff. “While this year represents a much tighter budget outlook, we are staying consistent in giving every available dollar we can to our employees.”
The tentative agreements will now go to final ratification and settlement, and then salary dollars will go into the pockets of employees. All parties are excited to have reached tentative agreements prior to the beginning of the school year so that all Instructional and ESP employees know what they will be earning when they return to work in August.
All settlement documents are available on the “Tentative Agreements and Ratification Documents” webpage on Osceola School District’s public website at https://www.osceolaschools.net/23194_4.
