The end of summer is always a special time for our students and families, and this year brings even more to celebrate! We’re proud to welcome Mr. Melvin as our new principal and Ms. Heather Miller as our new assistant principal.

We’re also excited to announce that KMS has earned a school grade of B — our first in 14 years! This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, students, and families.

This Summer the team at KMS has been busy preparing for the new school year. Teachers have attended trainings in AVID, Latinos in Action, Curriculum Writing, and our new teachers just completed their first week of COMPASS training. We are very excited about the upcoming year and are focused on getting ready to meet all of you at our open house on Thursday, August 7th, from 3:30 to 5:30. Students will receive a copy of their schedule and have the opportunity to meet all of their teachers. We will also have information available about sports, clubs, electives, and other extracurricular activities. We look forward to seeing you!
